After a record-breaking $30-million midnight premiere, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” continued to dominate the box office during the weekend, grossing a total of $175 million in its first six days, reports EW.com.

The third installment of the popular Stephenie Meyer series was followed at the box office by another new release, M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Last Airbender,” which despite terrible reviews, reaped $70 million during its five-day opener.

“Toy Story 3″ fell to third place, but nevertheless continued to earn Pixar millions each day. Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups” and “Knight and Day” with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz rounded out the top five.

Tweeps’ reviews of this weekend’s new releases seem incongruent with the box office sales.
