Per PEOPLE, Steven Tyler’s fall offstage during a concert last week left him with a broken shoulder and 20 stitches on the back of his head.

The 61-year-old Aerosmith lead singer said, “I landed upside down, and after twenty stitches on the back of my head, and a broken left shoulder, I just want to say that I’m plain grateful that I didn’t break my neck!”

Tyler said everything seemed to be going perfectly at the August 5 show in Sturgis, S.D., until some fuses on the equipment blew and the sound went down during the song “Love in an Elevator.”

“Well, I wasn’t gonna go hide under the big top and play ‘ROCK STAR’ and wait for everything to be fixed.  I wanted to go out to the crowd and continue the show…so, the Train Kept-A-Rollin’ and I ran out on the cat walk and grabbed my mic to finish the song,” his statement read.

Things started to get out of hand when, “I was doing the Tyler shuffle and then I zigged when I should have zagged…AND I slipped, and as I live on the edge…I fell off the edge!”

Due to the severity of Tyler’s injuries, the rest of the tour has been canceled and refunds will be issued to ticketholders, according to CNN.com.

Due to several injuries that occurred last season on “Dancing with the Stars,” producers of the show are taking precautionary measures before season 9 begins by limiting the stars’ rehearsal time, PEOPLE reports.

A source told TVGuide.com, “They will monitor how long they rehearse for.  It’s never been done before.”

Last season, both Jewel and Nancy O’Dell were taken out of the competition due to injuries during dance practice.  Melissa Rycroft, O’Dell’s replacement, missed a night of performances from a hairline fracture in her rib. Runner-up Gilles Marini, as well as Steve-O, Ty Murray and Steve Wozniak all required doctor’s visits at some point during the season.

Next season’s stars will be announced on Monday.

Per PEOPLE, country music legends Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn recently announced on their Web site that they will be calling it quits after their 2010 tour, “The Last Rodeo.”

The statement read, “After 20 years of making music and riding trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it’s time [to] call it a day.  This ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed.  …We owe it all to you, the fans.  If you hear rumors, don’t believe them, it’s just time.”

PEOPLE reports that during a taping of CMT’s “Invitation Only” special in Nashville, Brooks was asked why they split after a 20-year partnership.  He responded, “It’s too good a horse to ride it into the ground.  We’re still good friends.  I’m proud to say we’ve never had a fight, never even yelled at each other.  And that’s the truth.”

Brooks and Dunn exploded on the country music scene in 1991, and has since racked up several awards at the Country Music Awards, the Grammys and American Music Awards.

The two will begin their final tour after the new album, “#1s and Then Some,” is released on September 8.  The aforementioned special will air September 1 on Dish Network and October 30 on CMT.

According to Entertainment Weekly, NBC recently announced that Jay-Z will be the first musical guest on “The Jay Leno Show,” which premieres on Monday, September 14 at 10p.m. ET.

To sweeten the appearance, Jay-Z will not be taking the stage himself: he plans to bring fellow music stars Rihanna and Kanye West along with him.

Per NBC, the trio is set to perform “Run This Town,” from Hova’s highly anticipated album, “The Blueprint 3,” available in stores and online on September 11.

Good news for Muppet fans: according to MTV News, Brian Henson, son of “The Muppets” creator Jim Henson, is in the process of developing a “Fraggle Rock” movie.

Henson told MTV News that “Fraggle Rock” is in very active development and ”that [it] has a very strong script.”  He also said that the production will ”have a strong musical component.”

Per the article, “Fraggle Rock” is close to the pre-production stage; however, no indication was made of when the film will be available for public viewing.

According to Entertainment Weekly, event promoter Michael Lang has abandoned plans to hold a concert that would mark the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.  Lang had hoped to organize the event for September, but a lack of sponsors forced him to cancel the show.

Despite the concert cancellation, the 40th anniversary of Woodstock will still be remembered.  Director Ang Lee will release his new movie “Taking Woodstock” on August 28, and there will also be several commemorative music releases, including a six-CD “Woodstock: 40 Years On” box set.  VH1 is also airing “Woodstock: Now and Then” next week.

Per PEOPLE.com, Kara DioGuardi will return to the judges’ panel for the upcoming season of “American Idol.” The songwriter first joined series-long judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul,and Simon Cowell last year for the show’s eighth season.

Abdul, on the other hand, is still unsure if she’ll be back on the show.  Abdul’s doubt goes back to June, and a campaign for her return is ongoing via Twitter. Abdul herself recently tweeted about the subject:

The “Saved By The Bell” reunion cover story in PEOPLE Magazine, on newsstands today, took over a year of planning, according to PEOPLE.com.

And though “SBTB” star Mark-Paul Gosselaar appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in June to discuss Fallon’s own reunion plans for the cast, PEOPLE beat them to it—and had been working on the plans for much longer than Fallon, Newsweek discovered.

But the PEOPLE cover stirred up some questions about the photo shoot.  Where was Screech?  And what about an actual reunion show?

Newsweek, in a June interview with Gosselaar, found out that he hadn’t spoken to Diamond recently, as they are no longer close.  That seems to be true for the rest of the cast as well.

As far as a reunion show, Gosselaar told Newsweek that Fallon could have offered more details about what he had in mind. “I’m more for a reunion if we’re completely in character and we can do a skit about it.  That would be something the audience would yearn for than just seeing us,”  Gosselaar said.

Even still, a reunion show is up in the air as most of the cast is busy with other commitments.  Lopez told PEOPLE that it will have to wait– it’s hard for him to take time off.  Lopez will host the fourth season of “America’s Best Dance Crew,” continue his duties with “Extra,” as well as promote his fitness book and children’s book. Tiffani Thiessen, another “SBTB” star, parodied her own busy life in a “Funny or Die” video. Looks like, for now, fans will need to keep watching the “SBTB” re-runs.

According to the Associated Press, the 1988 Michael Jackson memoir “Moonwalk” will be reissued in October by Random House with a new introduction from a Jackson friend who has not been identified yet. The publishing company is planning a first-run print of 100,000 copies.

Although several U.S. publishers were interested in the memoir, Jackson’s lawyers wanted to stay with the original editor, Shaye Areheart, the article said.

The AP said “Moonwalk” was a classic celebrity project as the book was not actually written or even conceived by Jackson.  It topped the New York Times hardcover non-fiction list, but was out of print a few years later.

According to the AP, on the morning after Jackson died, agent Joy Harris began getting e-mails from publishers asking when Jackson’s memoir would return to print. Jackson reps wanted to act quickly on the re-release in order to capitalize on “the notoriety surrounding Michael Jackson’s unexpected death” and to ensure that “profits for the Estate will be maximized.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Michael Jackson’s “Number Ones” has been the best-selling album in the country for the past three weeks in a row; but now, the unusual run is over.

Daughtry, whose album “Leave This Town” sold 269,000 copies last week, is the newest chart-topper. That means, for the first time in a month, the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 is actually the No. 1 selling album in the U.S.  Jackson’s albums, though they sold the most, never qualified for the Billboard 200 due to their age.

Michael Jackson fans, however, shouldn’t worry– MJ’s album sales haven’t dried up just set, as “Number Ones” sold 192,000 copies this past week.
