According to EW.com, former Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz has formed a new band over the Internet called Black Cards.

The project was apparently formed during a trip Wentz took to Jamaica, where he became inspired. He then called up and began collaborating with Sam Hollander, whom he has worked with in the past. Black Cards’ lead singer is female, as Wentz claimed he could not imagine trying to replace Patrick Stump, the former lead singer of Fall Out Boy. The female vocalist remains unnamed; however, speculation is that it may be wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

There are snippets of two songs, “Club Called Heaven” and “Beating in My Chest” available on the band’s website http://blackcardsmusic.com/ along with a personal note from Wentz to his fans. Tweeps are divided as to whether or not they like Wentz’s new project:

Prince has had a revelation: “the Internet is completely over,” says the singer. Billboard.com reports that the artist doesn’t want his new album, “2oTen,” to be available for digital download on Web sites such as iTunes.

The artist compared the Internet to MTV, saying both was once “hip” before becoming “outdated.” Prince also condemned computers and other “digital gadgets,” and has shut down his official Web site.

Currently Prince is marketing “2oTen” by giving away free copies in European newspapers. There are no confirmed plans of how he will distribute the album in the U.S. and in European retail stores.

After receiving the BET Lifetime Achievement Award this past Sunday, Prince has set his sights on promoting his new album “20Ten” in the UK, Belgium, and Germany by giving the album away for free, reports CNN.

This deal will be exclusive to those three countries in Europe as free copies will be given away when citizens buy The Daily Record (Scotland) or The Daily Mail (UK) on July 10. Copies of the album will be packaged with Germany’s Rolling Stone and Belgium’s newspaper, Het Nieuwblad, on the 22nd.

While most people would say that this is a bad idea, Prince has already done this before in the UK, with his last album “Planet Earth” being given away with the purchase of the Daily Mail. That incident didn’t sit well with music retailers given that “Planet Earth” is still not available for sale in the UK. Prince also gave free copies of another album, “Musicology,” in 2004 with the purchase of a concert ticket for his tour.

Soon there may be more “American Idol” hopefuls being driven to auditions by their parents. CNN.com reports that the reality competition show has lowered the minimum age for contestants from 16 to 15.

The show’s executives are saying that they want to give younger, talented performers a chance as well. This change will go into effect when Season 10 auditions start on July 17 in Nashville.

The once highly rated show showed a slipping in ratings this past season. This lowered age minimum may attract more younger fans and boost the show’s viewership.

Rapper Snoop Dogg is vying for some vampire love. A devoted “True Blood” fan, the artist released a new music video reaffirming his “True Blood” devotion, reports MTV.com. “Oh Sookie,” a homage to the show’s Sookie Stackhouse (actress Anna Paquin), was released on Thursday on HBO.com. The song offers Snoop Dogg’s best sexual seduction tips in an attempt to insert himself into the love triangle between Sookie, Eric and Bill on the show.

This is the second time the vampire show’s most prominent fan has made a shout-out. Snoop Dogg previously mentioned the show in his 2009 song “Gangsta Love.”

The best of both worlds are about to collide on the stage of Good Morning America this (Friday) morning.

Pop star Miley Cyrus will share the GMA summer concert series stage with Poison frontman and recent reality show star Bret Michaels, according to MTV News. The two will sing a duet of the Poison anthem “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” which Cyrus is covering on her new album, “Can’t Be Tamed,” which will be released Tuesday.

While Cyrus is coming off from her stint as pre-teen staple Hannah Montana in the popular Disney show, Michaels just recently won this year’s Celebrity Apprentice after suffering from a brain hemorrhage a couple of weeks prior. Both artists will be embarking on tours for the summer.

The Country Music Awards were held in Nashville Wednesday night and despite the recent tragedy that hit the city, the “Buckles” were handed out in style, according to People.com. Kid Rock hosted the event where the stars came out and performed their hits, making it known that Nashville was back in style.

Some of the highlights included Keith Urban thanking his wife, Nicole Kidman, and offering words of comfort to those affected by the Gulf Coast oil spill disaster; Kid Rock warning all attendees that any “Kanye West-isms” were not allowed; and the performances by artists like Urban, “Nashville Star” alum Miranda Lambert, “American Idol” alum Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum and the Zac Brown Band to name a few.

Lambert, Underwood, and Urban were the three big winners of the night. Here’s a complete list of winners:

EW.com reports that hip-hop artist Drake’s entire new album has been leaked online. “Thank Me Later” is the popular singer’s official debut album.

Drake has released mixtapes before but this will be the first album that the artist is selling instead of giving away via free downloads. But because he has given his music away for free in the past, he insinuated in a tweet that as long as the album becomes his fans’ summer albums, it wasn’t too big of a deal. Once the album officially drops on June 15, though, sales will tell whether or not the leak benefited or hurt him.

Those who have already listened to the album are tweeting their reviews, while hardcore fans are urging everyone to still go buy the album when it is officially released.

Oprah might have a magazine and a network, but Ellen DeGeneres has something that “The Queen of Daytime” doesn’t: a record label.

The talk show host announced Tuesday that she has started her own record label, eleveneleven, and will use her show as a platform to find more new talent, reports ABCNews.com. DeGeneres has already signed her first artist: YouTube sensation Greyson Chance, the kid who is known for his rendition of Lady Gaga’s hit, “Paparazzi.” Chance, only 12 years old, has also written and composed some original material that was also posted on YouTube.

DeGeneres said in a statement released Tuesday that Chance “inspired” her into creating eleveneleven, which will be a joint venture with Telepictures Productions.

Along with her daytime show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, DeGeneres recently joined American Idol this past season as a judge, filling Paula Abdul’s vacant spot.
