Fans of the medical and romantic antics of Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd will now be able to go to Hulu.com to get their “Grey’s Anatomy” fix. ABC shows debuted on the popular online media service Monday, according to CNET. Other shows such as “Desperate Housewives” and “Scrubs” will be added over the next two weeks.

Most Twitter users are excited about the addition of ABC content, but not all were thrilled with the inclusion of “Grey’s”:

A new MTV daily talk show, “It’s On With Alexa Chung,” could be on course to change the landscape of live television forever.

According to CNET, MTV has teamed up with Twitter and Facebook  to bring together social media and live television in an unprecedented way.

The show, starring British model-turned-TV-host Alexa Chung, is taking over the time slot once held by “Total Request Live,” a.k.a “TRL,” and will include everything from “on-screen ‘tweets,’ content sourced from Facebook profiles and fan pages, audience contribution from polls to remixed YouTube videos and round-the-clock updates from Chung’s own Twitter account,” CNET reports.

According to Dave Sirulnick, executive vice president of news and broadcast at MTV, this convergence is nothing new for their targeted teen audience.  “This is just what they’ve grown up with,” he said. “It’s the way they experience the world, you know–it would be odd for us to mount this project, put this up on the air, and not have that happen.”

Per CNET News, Nine Inch Nails lead singer Trent Reznor blasted Apple’s decision to reject the band’s iPhone App due to “objectionable content.” Reznor tweeted once he found out about the decision.

Disney, one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world, has joined forces with popular video hub Hulu–which may mean trouble for rival YouTube, according to an article on CNET.com.

Per the deal, Disney will be provide Hulu with full episodes from its television network affiliates, including ABC. Hulu will host shows such as “LOST,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Private Practice,” and “Greek,” among others.

Also according to the article, Hulu has snatched up content from three out of the six big-time film studios. The other three, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. and Paramount, leave YouTube with little to vie for. While Sony has agreed to share a small amount of content with both Hulu and YouTube, Warner Bros. keeps most of its content off the web, and Paramount’s parent company is currently suing YouTube for copyright infringement.

Disney chief executive Robert A. Iger commented on the Disney-Hulu partnership in a NYTimes.com story: “Disney and Hulu share a focus on delivering the highest-quality entertainment experience, and we look forward to working with Hulu to build value for our consumers, our brands and our shareholders.”

The Twitterverse seems pleased with, and even excited about, the partnership.
