According to Entertainment Weekly, rumors that actor Jeff Goldblum died yesterday are completely false, his publicist confirms. The reports were prompted by an internet hoax that started Thursday afternoon, the same day both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson passed away.

Goldblum’s publicist issued the following statement: “Reports that Jeff Goldblum has passed away are completely untrue.  He is fine and in Los Angeles.”

Despite the confirmation that Goldblum is indeed alive and well, Twitterers are still unsure about the rumors:
