The 3-D craze continues as EW.com confirms that Sony Pictures’ Seth Rogen-led film “The Green Hornet” will be coming to the big screen enhanced with the new technology. In addition, Variety.com reports that Paramount Pictures’ “The Last Airbender,” directed by M. Night Shyamalan, will also appear in theaters in 3-D.

As a result of the 3-D conversion, the release date for “The Green Hornet” has been moved from December 22 to January 14. However, despite the date switch, Sony says it’s been the plan all along to upgrade the film to 3-D.

Unlike “The Green Hornet,” Paramount and Shyamalan made a last-minute decision to make a 3-D adventure out of “The Last Airbender,” and they’ve been working with a company called Stereo D to make it a reality. “The Last Airbender” is still slated to arrive in theaters on July 2.

Other 3-D films out within the next year include Warner Bros.’s “Yogi Bear,” Disney’s “Tron,” Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3″ and Fox’s “Gulliver’s Travels.”

According to the Associated Press, James Franco will have a two-month gig as a guest star on ABC’s well-established soap opera “General Hospital.” His story-arc is scheduled to begin airing on November 20, 2009.

Franco’s big break came in 1999 when he played opposite Seth Rogen and Jason Segel in Judd Apatow’s television show “Freaks and Geeks.” Since then he has gained fame and accolades in movies such as “Pineapple Express,” “Spider-Man,” and most recently “Milk.”
