“Deathly Hallows” Clip to Premiere at MTV Movie Awards

Fans have numerous things to look forward to when they tune into the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday night at 9 p.m., promises MTV.com.

It’s not just the musical performance of Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg’s hit summer song “California Gurls” or the star-studded line-up of presenters including Michael Cera, Betty White, Scarlett Johansson, and Mark Wahlberg that will cause frenzies of excitement. Audiences who watch the awards show will be among the exclusive group to see a never-before-seen clip from the upcoming movie “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.” And since the MTV Movie Awards is famous for its sneak peeks of highly-anticipated flicks, Twi-hards will also be rejoicing, since the show is set to debut an exclusive clip from the “Eclipse,” the third installment in “The Twilight Saga.”

“Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari will host the 2010 awards show. In addition to the anticipated movie clips, audiences can look forward to a musical performance by Christina Aguilera, as well as appearances by Zac Efron, Cameron Diaz, Taylor Lautner, Tom Cruise, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Bradley Cooper, and Steve Carrell among many others. Sandra Bullock will also be making her first public appearance since her martial issues with husband Jesse James. She will be at the show to receive the MTV Generation Award.

Harry Potter fans on Twitter are head over heels in excitement for the sneak peak.

Zac Efron, Breckin Meyer Create Perez Hilton Parody

Per MTV News, Zac Efron and Brecking Meyer teamed up for a Funny or Die parody of Perez Hilton’s video account of his alleged altercation with will.i.am and Black Eyed Peas road manager Liborio “Polo” Molina.

In a similar shaky, yet emphatic tone that Hilton used in his video, Meyer says, “What happened to me … happened to me as a human being and should never ever happen. Never. Ever. Never.”

In response to the “incident” where Efron rejects Meyer’s request to skate with his girlfriend, Meyer says, “Solo skating during couple’s skating should never happen. It is not the answer. You owe me an apology, Zac Efron. Can you do that?”

Efron then walks in wearing his signature knit cap and says, “I’m sorry, Breckin.”

Brace yourselves, ladies: you’ll be able to catch teen heartthrob Zac Efron at home on the small screen this summer. According to E! Online, HBO has confirmed that the “High School Musical” and “17 Again” star will appear in the upcoming sixth season of “Entourage.”

It’s unknown what Efron’s role will be, or when the episode will air but the Twitter world still had mixed opinions on the news:

MTV Movie Awards Recap

The MTV Movie Awards came and went last night, leaving viewers happy, sad, shocked, disgusted and confused–and sometimes, a combination of those.

Among the highlights: host Andy Samberg debuted new digital shorts; Twilight won the most popcorn trophies; Eminem received a face full of Bruno; Kristen Stewart dropped her award; Amy Poehler’s acceptance speech was mostly bleeped out; and Denzel Washington promoted his aspiring actress-daughter while presenting.

Viewers were also treated to three much-hyped movie previews from”The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” the “Transformers” sequel, and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

Ben Stiller to Get MTV Generation Award

Actor Ben Stiller will be the recipient of the Generation Award during next week’s MTV Movie Awards, PEOPLE.com reports.

The award, to be presented by Zac Efron,was given to another funny many last year–Adam Sandler.

According to Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music/Logo/Film Group, Stiller has the “warped creative vision and commitment MTV loves to reward.”

Chace Crawford to star in “Footloose” Remake

According to PEOPLE.com, “Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford will be take a break from life on the Upper East Side to try his hand at dancing after agreeing to take the lead role in a remake of “Footloose.”

The 23-year-old will play Ren McCormack, a rule-breaking, dancing teen–the same character that launched the career of Kevin Bacon in the original movie.

Crawford is taking the role “High School Musical” and “17 Again” star Zac Efron signed on to, but he later decided to drop out to avoid being labeled as ” the musical guy.”

‘The View’ Makes TIME 100

Per Time.com, the opinionated hosts of the very popular morning talk show The View made Time Magazine’s 2009 list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd collectively made no. 54 on the list. Richard Stengel, editor of Time, even appeared as a guest on the show to explain to the viewers and the ladies why they were chosen to be on the prestigious list.

According to Stengel, the ladies are “the angels of democracy.”

Efron’s ‘17 Again’ tops box office

Zac Efron proved this weekend he’s more than just a “High School Musical” star when his new film, “17 Again,” came in tops at the box office, according to Entertainment Weekly.

“17 Again” earned more than $24 million, easily besting the journalism thriller “State of Play.”

In the film Efron plays a man transformed into a high school student where he can do his live over.
