LeBron James’ triple-double leads Cavs to win over Magic in Game 5

LeBron James didn’t need to score 40 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to victory, he simply needed to get close while posting a triple-double.

James was sensational with 37 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists, leading the CavsĀ  to a 112-102 win in Game 5 of their Western Conference Finals series, but the Orlando Magic still lead the series 3-2, per the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The fact that James had double-digit assists meant at least one of his teammates stepped up this time.

Mo Williams had 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range, and Daniel “Booby” Gibson had three clutch fourth-quarter 3’s to back the NBA’s MVP.

Still, all the talk was rightfully about the King, who scored or assisted on 32 of Cleveland’s 34 fourth-quarter points:

BossLadyP Lebron James is not a human. You cut him, he bleeds oil. HES NOT A HUMAN!!!!

Does Cleveland finally have the correct formula to come back from 3-1 and win the series?

benson5 Who’s pickin the Cavs to win the series now?!? I am…….I think it’s time for ‘Bron.
  4. Dana Donnenwirth
Dsquared10 Momentum for the Cavs going into game 6? I think so

For Orlando, they now have to contend with lost momentum and a team that now knows how to win (even if its all LeBron).

Dwight Howard (@DwightHoward) fouled out in the fourth quarter with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Twitter fans still believe in Magic:

  1. mdelmuro
mdelmuro There needs to be a time when the players, not the officials decide the games. Magic in 6.
  2. Usual Suspects Ent

flintstone14 The pressure shifts to the Magic to finish this series at home. That game will be the series because if it comes back to Cleveland. Its over

This is one reason why James is a phenomenal player. Like MJ, James has the leadership that wins games and admiration of basketball fans.
