Chelsea takes FA Cup from Everton 2-1 after allowing fastest goal in final history

It only took half a minute into the game for Everton to score on Chelsea, but the goal didn’t stop them from coming back.

Per ESPN, Chelsea defeated Everton 2-1 to win the FA Cup at Wembly on Saturday. The game was the last for manager Guus Hiddink who will return to his full-time post with Russia.

Everton’s Louis Saha put the first score on the board just :30 into the match, the fastest goal in the history of the FA Cup.

But the Merseysiders had trouble holding on to their lead, and scores from Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard secured Chelsea’s win. The team outshot Everton on goal 12 to 6 and also controlled the ball for a majority of the game at 58 percent.
