If there was any consolation for Florida State fans after losing two games at home to Arkansas, it came when Southern Miss came from five runs down (6-1) to capture a 7-6 victory and sweep the No. 8 Florida Gators out of the NCAA Super Regionals and vault the regional No. 3 seed Golden Eagles into the College World Series (@CWS2009).

Also earning CWS berths on Sunday were the Arizons State Sun Devils with an 8-2 win over Clemson,  North Carolina 9-3 over East Carolina,  and Virginia, per NCAA.com.

The Cavaliers, a 5-1 winner over Ole Miss, won two straight games in Oxford to reach Omaha.

The only teams left playing are TCU and Texas, which saw the Horned Frogs take game two 3-2 to force a deciding game for the No. 1 Longhorns.
