Terrell Owens (@terrellowens81) took his Twitter followers to uStream tonight for his first ever live feed, taking a page from Ashton Kutcher and P. Diddy’s social media playbooks.

The late night feed, beginning after midnight local time at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y., appeared practically unannounced and still managed more than 550 viewers at its peak.

I happened to be online at the time and documented some of T.O.’s statements. Owens also read one of my tweets live on the stream.

His tone of “I’m liking this uStream” shifted as the stream went on. Many people complained of a slow feed and freezing frame. But he then talked to a uStream representative over the phone, during his live stream, who told him it was his Internet connection. He took note of this, saying “Now that’s customer service.”

Owens added, “I thought St. John Fisher College was cool until now. But now it has given me a slow uStream connection, what’s that all about?”

He also took a shot at Rochester in response to a tweet. “A Rochester tour guide? I don’t think I’m going to need a tour guide. Where you going to take me? Where am I going to go?”

Owens also revealed that he doesn’t have an iPhone, he has a Blackberry. And that Bills quarterback Trent Edwards is “cool.”
