Baseball Owners Approve Cubs Sale to Ricketts Family
In a conference call today, all 29 Major League Baseball owners approved the sale of the Chicago Cubs to the Ricketts Family, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The family’s purchase of the team, headed by Tom Ricketts, only has one obstacle left: bankruptcy court. The family should assume its role as owner by the end of the month.
