Rookie quarterback sensation Mark Sanchez has a new big-time Jet to throw to in Braylon Edwards. The New York Jets traded for the wider receiver this morning, sending wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, special teams player and back-up linebacker Jason Trusnik, and two draft picks to the Cleveland Browns.

The deal is significant, not only because it gives the 3-1 Jets a legitimate deep threat, but also because Edwards was recently accused of assaulting a friend of Cleveland Cavalier, LeBron James outside a nightclub.

Most tweets out of Cleveland express relief that Edwards was traded, especially since he allegedly assaulted “King James’” friend:
