Blackhawks beat Flames with record comeback

per NHL.com, the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Calgary Flames Monday night 6-5 in overtime after trailing 5-0 in the first period.

The victory matched an NHL record for the largest comeback in history and was the biggest comeback in the history of the “Original Six” franchise.

The Flames took an early and commanding lead by scoring 5 unanswered goals within the span of 5:29 in the first period. The Hawks stormed back by scoring 5 unanswered goals, with the deciding goal scored by Brent Seabrook in overtime.
