NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has leukemia

The NBA’s all-time leading scorer Kareen Abdul-Jabbar said Monday he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia last December.

Abdul-Jabbar’s doctor said the chronic myeloid leukemia is not a certain death sentence with regular treatment.

The six-time NBA All-Star has vowed to use his diagnosis to raise awareness about leukemia since non-treatment of leukemia can be fatal.

It's a fact & I consider Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as one of NBA's legend players. His disease, and age, may have stopped him from playing his favorite sport, his profession, but in the midst of having cancer his vow to share & make people aware of this rare type of leukemia makes him a greater person.
