Michael Crabtree, a 22 year old NFL wide receiver, signed a long term deal with the San Francisco 49ers earlier today.

The former Texas Tech player signed a $72 million, six year deal after sitting out the first few weeks of regular football season due to a foot injury.

Months after being released from Federal prison, Michael Vick signed a new endorsement deal with Nike, according to an Associated Press reports. Vick, who served 18 months for involvement in a dog-fighting operation, recently received reinstatement into the NFL.

The full details of the agreement are currently unavailable.

On Sunday, Manchester United narrowly defeated crosstown rival Manchester City, 4 -3, in an instant classic at the Old Trafford, with the winning goal coming off the foot of Michael Owen and coming in the final minute of stoppage time.

Having matched Manchester United with three goals, scoring their third just a few minutes prior to Owens’ goal, it seemed that Manchester City would walk away with a tie and add at least 1 point to their Premier League point total.

Nevertheless, Michael Owen would enter the game in the 78th minute, scoring the Red Devil’s fourth and final go-ahead goal less than 20 minutes later, taking away Manchester City’s point and giving his team 3.

With the win, Manchester United now holds sole possession of second place in the Barclay’s Premier League standings with 15 points, 3 points behind undefeated Chelsea. On the other hand, Manchester City moves into a tie for third place with 12 points.

But he then talked to a uStream representative over the phone, during his live stream, who told him it was his Internet connection. He took note of this, saying “Now that’s customer service.”

Owens added, “I thought St. John Fisher College was cool until now. But now it has given me a slow uStream connection, what’s that all about?”

The Centennial Season in Montreal has not had the fireworks this postseason that Habs fans expected when the 2008-2009 campaign began. There was plenty of talk of a Stanley Cup and nothing less. The team dealt with a number of issues in the final part of the regular season, including a coaching change, yet still slipped into the playoffs as a No. 8 seed.
