Michael Crabtree, a 22 year old NFL wide receiver, signed a long term deal with the San Francisco 49ers earlier today.

The NFL has partnered with the American Cancer Society for the campaign, A Crucial Catch, which emphasizes the steps one can take to catch/prevent breast cancer. According to the ACS, breast cancer is expected to affect almost 200,000 women this year.

Though adding pink to the uniforms will the be most noticeable part of the campaign, the NFL is doing much more to contribute.  ”All apparel worn at games by players and coaches and special K-balls and pink coins will auctioned off at NFL Auction (www.NFLAuction.NFL.com), with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society and team charities,” read an official statement released by the NFL. “This is an issue that has directly touched the lives of so many in the NFL family, and we are committed to helping make a difference in breast-cancer prevention.”

Months after being released from Federal prison, Michael Vick signed a new endorsement deal with Nike, according to an Associated Press reports. Vick, who served 18 months for involvement in a dog-fighting operation, recently received reinstatement into the NFL.

The College Football Hall of Fame, which opened in 1995, had planned on taking advantage of Notre Dame’s prestige and devout following in South Bend. The Hall of Fame has consistently fell short of its predicted visitors per year since drawing 115,000 in the first year.

Burress will begin his sentence at Rikers and will later be transferred to a medium-security prison after being processed. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has already stated that after Burress’ released, he will be eligible to continue his career in football. His tone of “I’m liking this uStream” shifted as the stream went on. Many people complained of a slow feed and freezing frame. But he then talked to a uStream representative over the phone, during his live stream, who told him it was his Internet connection. He took note of this, saying “Now that’s customer service.”

Owens added, “I thought St. John Fisher College was cool until now. But now it has given me a slow uStream connection, what’s that all about?”

He also took a shot at Rochester in response to a tweet. “A Rochester tour guide? I don’t think I’m going to need a tour guide. Where you going to take me? Where am I going to go?”
